sana rao is a contemporary expressionist artist based in London.
Her work is a personal meditation and a weapon to guard against the numbness brought on by an entirely mechanised existence. Anchored around the endless patience and hope of the natural world – sana’s artwork draws from the expressionist tradition and depicts the vision of a playful yet symbiotic future.
Before returning to art, sana spent nearly two decades in the world of design and tech working in companies like Twitter, Deliveroo, Apple and Peanut across three continents.
Her work has been displayed in Koppel Gallery as a part of the 'Being Human' exhibition, at Stoke Newington High Street as a part of 'Invisible People' exhibition, in The Design Museum London as a part of 'Designing California' exhibition and published in ‘The personal history of home’ an anthology by The Oxford Research Center in the Humanities.
